INGREDIENTS

  • 1 1/2 CUPS HOT SAUSAGE

  • 4 MEDIUM POTATOES

  • 3/4 CUP DICED ONIONS

  • 6 SLICES BACON

  • 1 MINCED GARLIC CLOVE

  • 2 CUPS KALE LEAVES CHOPPED

  • 2 TBS. CHICKEN BASE

  • 8 CUPS WATER

  • 1/4 CUP HEAVY CREAM OR 1 CUP HALF AND HALF

Directions

REMOVE SAUSAGE FROM CASING AND SAUTEE – SET ASIDE.

PLACE ONIONS IN LARGE SAUCEPAN AND COOK OVER MEDIUM HEAT UNTIL ONIONS ARE ALMOST BROWNED.

ADD GARLIC AND COOK ONE MORE MINUTE.

ADD WATER, CHICKEN BASE AND POTATOES – SIMMER 15 MINUTES.

MICROWAVE BACON, LET COOL AND CHOP INTO TINY PIECES.

ADD BACON, SAUSAGE, KALE AND CREAM AND SIMMER FOR 5 MINUTES.
