INGREDIENTS
CAKE:
1 CUP CRISCO
2 CUPS FLOUR
3 1/2 OZ COCONUT
1 1/2 TSP BAKING POWDER
2 CUPS SUGAR
1 TSP SALT
1 TSP. COCONUT EXTRACT
5 EGGS
1/2 CUP MILK
GLAZE:
1 CUP SUGAR
1 TSP. VANILLA
1/2 CUP WATER
Directions
CREAM SUGAR AND CRISCO. ADD EGGS, ONE AT A TIME.
ADD DRY INGREDIENTS ALTERNATIVELY WITH MILK.
THEN ADD COCONUT AND COCONUT EXTRACT.
BAKE APPROXIMATELY 1 HOUR AT 350 IN GREASED TUBE PAN.
FOR GLAZE,BOIL 1 MINUTE AND POUR OVER CAKE WHILE STILL WARM.
(YOU COULD ALSO PUT ON DARK CHOCOLATE ICING IN LIEU OF GLAZE.)
